Currà 2020 displays deep aromas of red currant, dried flowers, citrus zest and spices, with an energetic, linear structure. The tannins are firm but refined, and the wine has an impressive length and complexity.
Vinification.
After manual harvest, spontaneous fermentation follows with a long maceration period for maximum aromatic extraction. The wine matures for 24 months in barriques, followed by approximately 12 months of bottle aging, which refines the structure and enhances the elegance.
The domain.
Currà is a high-altitude vineyard with calcareous soils. Sottimano's natural approach — low intervention, biodiversity, natural fermentation and long aging in wood — results in a classic, long-lived Barbaresco with great precision.
