Cottà 2021 is a powerful yet elegant Barbaresco with aromas of red currant, spices, roses, balsamic and subtle earthy notes. The structure is energetic, with a classic tannin structure and vibrant acidity. The wine finishes long, juicy and aromatically complex.
Vinification.
The grapes are hand-picked and spontaneously fermented, with a long maceration time for maximum depth. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for approximately 24 months in barriques and large botti, with the majority being used wood. After bottling, bottle aging follows to balance power and finesse.
The domain.
Cottà, one of Neive's oldest vineyards, is known for wines with intensity and depth. The domain operates according to natural principles: biodiversity, minimal intervention, gentle extraction and slow aging in wood, aimed at the purest expression of the terroir.
