Blanc de Blancs 2022 is a very precise, terroir-driven sparkling wine that perfectly combines tension and elegance. The nose offers fresh lime and green apple, complemented by white blossoms, Mediterranean herbs, and a subtle hint of hazelnut and pastry. On the palate, the wine is dry and bright, with fine, lively bubbles, a crisp citrus, and a distinct chalky-saline accent that provides length. The finish is long, chalky, and pure, with a fresh, gastronomic precision.
Vinification.
The grapes are vinified separately by varietal in stainless steel. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the traditional method. The wine ages for a minimum of 18 months sur lie (in practice, around two years), which adds extra texture and complexity. The style is Extra Brut with a very low dosage, ensuring that the minerality and tension remain completely central.
The estate.
Raventós i Blanc is a historic estate with roots dating back to the 15th century and is a reference for quality sparkling wines from Catalonia. The house left the Cava DO to focus entirely on origin and stricter quality principles through Conca del Riu Anoia. The vineyards are managed environmentally conscious and biodynamically, with great attention to soil health, biodiversity, and low yields. In the cellar, the approach is precise and minimalist, with long aging on the lees to build finesse and depth without masking the terroir.
