Fontodi Chianti Classico 2021 is a pristine and expressive Sangiovese that beautifully reflects the altitude, freshness, and calcareous soils of Panzano. On the nose, aromas of juicy cherry, redcurrant, and violets, complemented by Mediterranean herbs, orange peel, and a light earthy touch. On the palate, the wine is energetic and precise, with vibrant acidity, refined tannins, and a clear fruit core. The finish is long, harmonious, and mineral, with a beautiful tension that makes the wine both elegant and gastronomic.

Vinification.
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and carefully selected. After spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, a maceration focused on finesse and purity of fruit follows. The wine then ages for approximately 12 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and partly in used barriques, after which it rests for a period in bottle before release. This aging preserves the freshness and terroir character of Sangiovese, with minimal influence from wood.

The estate is managed entirely organically, with great attention to biodiversity, soil health, and natural balance in the vineyards.
