An elegant and characterful red Burgundy that beautifully combines refinement, tension, and depth. The nose reveals cherries, red berries, and riper plum, complemented by floral notes, fine spices, and a subtle earthy undertone. On the palate, the wine is supple and layered, with a core of pure red fruit, refined tannins, and a clear mineral structure that provides tension and length. The wine remains energetic and precise, with a long, pure finish where fruit, freshness, and terroir harmoniously come together. It is a Pinot Noir with finesse and aging potential, without heaviness, but with much detail and elegance.

Vinification.
This cuvée originates from a Premier Cru parcel on a limestone slope in Pernand-Vergelesses, where the soil structure and exposure provide finesse, tension, and mineral depth. The vinification is carried out with a distinct focus on purity and terroir expression, following a gentle and minimally interventionist approach. Fermentation proceeds with natural precision, after which the wine ages in mostly used wooden barrels so that the fruit and the character of the parcel remain central. The wood primarily supports the structure and refinement, without aromatically dominating. The result is a Pinot Noir that remains bright, layered, and energetic.

The domain.
Domaine Chandon de Briailles is a historic domain in Savigny-lès-Beaune and is among the references of the Côte de Beaune. It owns vineyards in Pernand-Vergelesses, Aloxe-Corton, Savigny-lès-Beaune, and Corton, among others, and is known for wines that very precisely translate their terroir. The domain's style is pure, transparent, and minimally interventionist, with much attention to tension, finesse, and aging potential.

In terms of sustainability, the domain has been working organically and biodynamically for years, with a strong focus on living soils, biodiversity, and the natural balance in the vineyard. Conscious restraint is exercised in treatments, and in some parcels, draft horses are also used to limit soil compaction by tractors. In the cellar, the domain opts for a sober and precise working method, with as few interventions as possible to maximally preserve the character of origin, vintage, and parcel. This philosophy is also clearly tasted in this wine: a red Burgundy with energy, detail, and a very clear link to its terroir.
