A precise and characterful white Burgundy that beautifully combines tension, texture, and terroir expression. The nose reveals white blossoms, ripe citrus, and white stone fruit, supported by a subtle chalky note. On the palate, the wine is both round and energetic, with a beautiful core of ripe fruit, fresh acidity, and a distinct mineral line. The structure remains refined and taut, while the finish lingers with a slightly saline character that provides extra tension and elegance. It is a gastronomic white Burgundy with great finesse, clarity, and length.

Vinification.
This cuvée originates from a Premier Cru plot on a limestone slope in Pernand-Vergelesses, where the soil structure and exposure provide tension, precision, and mineral depth. Vinification is carried out with a strong focus on purity and terroir expression. The wine matures for a long period sur lie in large wooden barrels and demi-muids, which adds extra texture and layering without losing its fresh, taut character. The wood does not impose itself aromatically but primarily supports the wine's structure and length. The result is a Chardonnay that remains simultaneously spacious, refined, and energetic.

The domain.
Domaine Chandon de Briailles is a historic estate in Savigny-lès-Beaune and is one of the references of the Côte de Beaune. It owns vineyards in Pernand-Vergelesses, Aloxe-Corton, Savigny-lès-Beaune, and Corton, among others, and is known for wines that translate terroir with great precision. The estate's style is pure, transparent, and minimally interventionist, with a strong focus on tension, finesse, and aging potential.

In terms of sustainability, the domain has been working biodynamically for years and also holds Demeter certification. This approach translates into a strong focus on living soils, biodiversity, and as natural a balance as possible in the vineyard. There is a conscious effort to be very restrained in treatments, and on certain plots, draft horses are also used to limit soil compaction by tractors. In addition, the domain opts for a sober and precise working method in the cellar, with as few interventions as possible to preserve the character of origin, vintage, and plot to the maximum. This philosophy is also clearly tasted in this white Pernand-Vergelesses: a wine with energy, detail, and a very clear link to its terroir.
