The entry-level wine from this house is an immediate hit. A blend of 87% Pinot Noir and 13% Gamay, from organic vineyards. Like all its wines, this cuvée matures for 18 months in 2-5 year old barrels.
Medium ruby red with purple hues. Very accessible and smooth wine. In the nose you get cherries, plum and blackberries, more black than red fruit. Nice spiciness that you expect from a Burgundy. There is also a kind of animal touch in the nose, which indicates the more natural way of producing. Medium body, medium long finish and nicely melted tannins.
