In 1996, Alain Brumont replanted Pinot Noir vines on the slopes of the Hautes-Pyrenées. After 10 years of testing and experimenting, he finally achieved the style he wanted to pursue.
60% of the wine matures in new French oak barrels. Malolactic transformation takes place in large wooden barrels.
Medium ruby red color. Cherries, strawberries and raspberries. Earthy tones with some mushroom and forest floor. Hints of vanilla and wood. Medium body, medium long finish. Somewhat firmer tannins than a Burgundy, but still integrated.
