This white wine from the D.O. Costers del Segre is a vibrant blend of Chardonnay, Viognier, and Muscat Petit Grain. The grapes are carefully harvested, undergo a period of cool pre-storage, and are then gently pressed, after which fermentation takes place at a low temperature in stainless steel.
The result is a wine with a bright pale yellow color, a nose full of fresh grapes, exotic fruits, and white flowers, and on the palate, a pleasant fresh touch with an elegant structure and a refined, complex finish.
Very versatile culinarily.
The Estate.
Bodegas Costers del Sió is an ambitious family business in the Catalan region of Costers del Segre. The vineyards are located on a mosaic of silt-loam and stony soils at an altitude of approximately 900 meters, where the dry climate and significant temperature differences result in wines with concentration and freshness.
Since the 1990s, the family has worked with great attention to terroir and sustainability, resulting in organic certification. Modern winemaking techniques are consciously combined with a hands-on approach in the vineyard, giving each cuvée its unique character.
The result is a range of wines that stand for purity, balance, and a clear expression of the unique landscape around the Sió River.
